Off to a wet start!
Hello!
This year is starting off pretty wet for most of us. The club had
a Dist. meet at the MO Poultry show in Sedalia, MO with a fair number of members attending. Both Open and Junior division
BB & RB winners were club members!

Many of the same club members are attending the Dist. meet at the Avoca, IA show on May 10th!
Club members
are putting together the next newsletter now to go out. We did hand out Jr. packets at the Sedalia show, and will mail out
packets to Jr members who did not receive one yet in the next mailing. T-shirts are getting done so we will get the pics up
in the club store soon for members to purchase them. Cost will be $25 each. Logos are going on white and colored T's on
the front and 10 inches in color.
Extra patches are available at $5 each.

Hello and welcome to our site! 
This club was a idea started in 2006 and finally breathed to life by January of 2007. As the months went on more
and more people have joined and brought with them the excitement of starting something both positive and rewarding for those
interested in the Bantam Silkie!
Members of this club are people raising Silkies for Showing/Exhibition and
raising them according to the APA breed standard. We also encourage working on developing new varieties for the
future. We participate in phone chats to get to know each other, share tips, ideas, and exchange show quality stock among
the members to allow more people to learn to breed an promote top notch birds around the country.
We strongly
encourage all Juniors into our club, who wish to learn more about raising Silkies for Exhibition/Show purposes. We are setting
up a Junior program to teach and mentor all youth into raising the best silkies they can!
They even have their own Yahoo
group just for them to make friends, share pictures, and learn together!
Adult membership is by invitation
only. If you are interested in learning how to become a member please contact one of the club representatives to assist you.
