Example of information for a record from a show for just my kids (juniors) and myself (open). I will also show how the placings are added for points. (note how we need to multiply # of birds in color or overall to come up with points for certain wins, reason why we need overall #s in each color class, or overall silkies in the open show!)

*Junior breakdown of how there points are set up can be found on the Junior members pages!

*When I am writing out reports I abbreviate words to cut down on my hand cramps; BL is Blue, Blk is Black, Wh is White, Spl is Splash, Gr is Gray, Part is Partridge, H is Hen, C is Cock, P is Pullet, K is Cockerel, FL is Featherleg, RV is Reserve of Variety, BV is Best of Variety, RB is Reserve of Breed, BB is Best of Breed, DQ is just that Disqualified by the judge, n/a is no placing. If I am recording a whole shows Silkie results I start at one end and go down the cages after judging; recording every silkie result in the show;
Wh C placing and exh #;
Wh H placing exh #;
Etc.
That way with the exhibitor list in my pocket I can on the ride home figure out points, results, etc. It also tells me how many where in each color or the total of silkies in the show. I than start taking pictures of birds in cages from the same spot I started recording to help match birds to results. This worked really well when I did the Indy show!
